Here’s one for those Pirsig Pilgrims. I heard today from Montana State University that a commemorative plaque has been installed right outside the President’s office in Montana Hall, where Pirsig taught from ’59 to ’61. Some ceremony is anticipated later in the year.
If he goes to the ceremony, me too!
If he agrees to go to the ceremony, I’ll be surprised. (He’s not one for celebrity as you know, and if he does, the arrangements will probably remain fairly private.)
Nice. If it hadn’t been for a plaque outside a library, I’d never have heard of Josiah Royce. These public monuments ARE important for the perpetuation of Quality Intellectual Patterns.
Hurrah!
Very nice, class of 2009.
That’s very cool.
Its very rare that Pirsig is in the news. Glad to hear Pirsig got some recognition for his thoughts he brought into the world.
